With today’s economic challenges, it is more important than ever to recognize family businesses. They have been through hard times before, are the backbone of our economy and will help us to break out of the current economic crisis. Here is an opportunity for you to do something very special to show support of family-owned businesses.
Nominate a family-owned business for the Maine Family Business Awards. A nomination for the Maine Family Business Awards is a public opportunity to recognize the dedications, support to the community, and success the family business has achieved through hard work of the family and employees. Nominations are requested by March 1, 2010. The finalists and 2010 winners will be recognized at the Maine Family Business Awards in May.
The Maine Family Business Awards are presented by the Institute for Family Owned Business, celebrating 11 years of supporting Maine family-owned businesses.
Nominating is simple. Our online nomination form allows you to easily suggest a business for consideration. Alternatively, you may also download and mail in a copy of the 2010 MFBA Nomination Form. We’ll forward the application to your nominee, mentioning that you have nominated them. We urge you to also mention the nomination to your nominee and assist them in any way with the application.
